LINO CUT PRINT / CARD MAKING
In this workshop, you will learn step-by-step the basics of block print-ing. We will start by introducing some helpful 2D design basics and demonstrating tools, techniques, and best practices. Once we have our fundamentals covered we will move forward to refining our designs, carving, and one-color printing. This reductive carving method is unique and satisfying, and the carved block will provide a bounty of prints for years to come. In this workshop, each artist can print up to three prints/ cards.
No experience necessary. Workshop in english.
We will be using a black water-based ink and soft-cut blocks. Drawing tools, blocks, paper(s), inks, and Gluwein / tea are provided. Artists are encouraged to bring ideas and sketches (keep designs semi-simple and 10cm x 15cm ). Artists are welcome to bring any previously carved blocks, and/or beverage or snack of preference.
